However, if I had to do it again (it was the first time I worked on this type of project) I would try to inlay the medallion more elegantly.
The blade of this knife is made of ancient iron and 100C6 carbon steel. The handle is in elk and yew with a silver ring and a medallion created by Chamil Kassimov, an extremely talented and nice craftsman. I am rather pleased with the general design of this knife.

Jan Haft is the director of Nautilusfilms, one of the biggest German wildlife film companies with whom I work from time to time. As well as being a very talented and often rewarded film maker, Jan is a very clever and endearing man. I was really happy to make a knife for him. He has become a real friend.
