My name is Jérémy Dagorne. I was born in 1976 in France.
After getting my A-levels in Science I decided to study Social Sciences: Philosophy and Literature. I was a searcher at university and now I have got a PhD. Besides these studies, I have always been fascinated by nature (animal observation, bow hunting, fishing, in different biotopes: forests, mountains, seaside)
When I was 18, I discovered Scandinavia and more particularly Norway and its impressive nature, its vast and still wild and unspoilt lands. It was a sort of revelation. Since then, I have spent many weeks there going back every year to see my friends and sometimes to serve as a guide in the Dovrefjell national park. I guide nature-lovers to watch musk oxen and elks. It's in Scandinavia that I first had this passion for knives.
I started making knives as an autodidact. However, it doesn't mean I learnt all by myself. Many people helped me through this never-ending apprenticeship. I would have many people to thank, among them: Claude L'hyver, Eric Plazen, Laurent gaillard, Frederic Maschio, etc.
